Once both your offer is accepted, a holding deposit is payable. It can be a week’s rent. This is then deducted from the first month’s rent.
In addition, a Security Deposit is required. The Landlord will agree the amount with you. This will be deposited in an approved Tenancy Deposit Holding scheme.
